Squeeze The Lemons - The Power of Squeeze Pages
I have always been a fan of testing. Whether its testing a product, service, or market, I have loved the power of “true results”.
If you where thinking about creating and selling a new DVD on how to base jump for dummys and went up to one of your friends and asked him if he would buy one if you made it, he would more than likely say yes. Now tell him you have 30 copies in your car right now. Lets see what his response would be then.
The difference is HUGE. This is the biggest misconception that people have about testing. They ask if you “would” rather than “will you”?
I’m a “will you” tester and I will always be. The cheapest and quickest method to get an income vehicle online is something called a Squeeze Page, or a Lead Page or Opt-In page.
A Squeeze Page is simply a one-page description of a great offer; product or service. The only thing they need to do is give their email address (opt-in). Once they give their email address and confirm that its correct then you will give them what you promised them.
What do you promise them?
Give them an offer they cant refuse…(Godfather voice)
Give them something FREE of course! You want to give them something of value and you want to give it to them FREE! Don’t worry about giving your product or service away for free, this is only going to help you. Plus, you’re only giving them a small portion of what you have to offer; a taste. If you truly have a great product or service then you can spare a taste.
How does this taste help me, you say? Because roughly 1% of people that land on your page buy what you have to offer. Do you know how many pay after they opt-in first?…… 5%!
That means if you’re monthly profits are $500 it just went to $2,500. If it was $2,000 then it just went to $10,000!
The reason it not only works but works so powerfully is because they don’t need to buy now. You have their email address. A weekly “tip” here, a “freebie” there, maybe even a “20% off coupon” if they buy today. Once they REALLY like what you have to offer you become a “familar friend”.
So once they absoulutly NEED what you want who do you think they go to? A company they dont know, or a friend? Get the picture now?
